Not feeling tomorrow's matinee..... Sens are 4-0 in these playoffs in afternoon games and while the Pens haven't had one yet these playoffs, they were junk in regular season afternoon games.

I was watching one video (on TSN site) of how the Pens were using their own version of the trap last night, standing Ottawa up at the red line. It was working beautifully and Karlsson is showing his frustrations, skating around being more concerned with the refs.

If the Pens get that first goal, it forces Ottawa to open up and when Ottawa opens up, the holes are evident everywhere, lots of odd man rushes and break-aways. This has been a great run this year with all the adversities the Pens have faced and continue to face

So strange no one mentions that. He was whining all Night. CBC also sticking with the narrative that Karlsson Methot pairing is shutting Sid down. Not seeing that at all. Im seeing him make strong plays that have largely been wasted by missed nets and goalposts. I'd say Nisky did a better job shutting Sid down.

It's not an easy task! Even if he's not 100%

That's why I used "ironically"... Of course more irony pertaining to this would be people calling Sid a whiner when he simply isn't anymore. Hasn't been for years.

Pens need to take care of this in 6 games. Don't let Ottawa believe. Taking the lead early in game 5 and finishing the game off strong will do just nicely.
More evidence of why Sully is one of the best in the business. Everyone talks about the goaltending decision, but putting a more physical guy on every line really paid off well last night. And great job by Jacques Martin with the defense. Again

Hopefully Schultz comes to the rescue in GM 5. I'd rather him over Streit

Ah crap, Sunday is a matinee game.

He kind of lost it after the play turned around and led to a pens goal. Funny to watch tho. Can only imagine Melnyk had the same reaction

So completely clean play Bobby ryan charging and hitting ruhnwedel right in the head?? Made contact directly and solely with the side of his head which concussed him, knocked him out of the game, and bloodied him up? Clean play though I guess???

Cole then gets a penalty for barely punching the guy , and later stone punches guentzel 5 times in the face but no call there

Nice jobs there stripes

The CBC crew kind of intimated that because Kunitz got away with a slash on EK leading up to Maata's goal, that was what led to Ryan deciding to run Ruhwedel. pretty lousy thought process if you asked me.

Those idiot slugs on the NHL network said the Bobby Ryan hit on Wedel was a hockey play. Those idiots should be fired. But who do they work for....the NHL. That is what is wrong with hockey. Even Pierre said that Jake being mugged with 6 punches gets nothing and the interference call on Cole was nothing. The NHL can't find the forest cause there are too many trees hiding it. What a bunch of losers.
And it remains MURRAY TIME

...Especially when you consider running Ruhdwel happened approximately 13 mins before the Maatta goal.

What do you expect from paid NHL shills on The NHL Network?

I think his nose was cut by the high stick (also missed) right before Ryan gave him the head shot. The Pens really need to address some of this crap in the off season. Gotta get a bigger player or two that can actually play the game. Start returning the favor if the NHL refuses to address this sh*t.

I'm a referee for youth high school and collegiate hockey and I hate to even think this, but I can't help but feel the refs are being mandated to do what they can to keep games close and extend series instead of looking out for fair play and player safety.

There's no way in hell penalties should've been 2 to 4 in Ottawas favor last night. We outplayed them and had more puck control. I truly think Bobby ryan should be getting a 1 game suspension but the NHL doesn't have the balls to do that or even comment on the hit.

Put archibald in and hit karllson in the head just like they did...

From Yohe...

• Sullivan hasn’t ruled out the possibility that injured players Justin Schultz, Patric Hornqvist or Bryan Rust could play on Sunday. I’ve heard that Schultz could be the closest to returning to action. He was in good spirits following Game 4.

Getting 4 back would be huge. Would be happy to get 17 and 72 back. I think Horn could do some real damage in front of the goal.

I would 100% tell Archibald to run EK or Ryan every chance he gets. Make sure its borderline dirty too, whatever happens, happens.
